Staff Freeze In Horror When A Dog Walks Into The Hospital Carrying This…

Chapter Three: Whispers of the Past

The days blurred into one another as Abigail’s condition remained stable but far from resolved. She had been unconscious for days, her body recovering but her mind locked in a fog. Elena spent countless hours by her side, hoping for some breakthrough, but Abigail remained distant, her eyes clouded whenever they fluttered open.

Despite the physical improvements, the mystery surrounding the girl only deepened. Elena couldn’t stop thinking about the strange bruises on Abigail’s arms, the way she had been restrained. And then there was the drug in her system—a powerful sedative, but it was more than that. It was a chemical designed to wipe away memories, to leave the victim with a blank slate. Who would do this to a child? And why?

“Elena,” Dr. Parker’s voice broke through her thoughts, his tone more urgent than usual. He stepped into the room, his face drawn. “We’ve uncovered something. It’s about Abigail’s mother.”

Elena looked up sharply. “Her mother?”

Dr. Parker nodded. “We’ve traced her—Claire Warren. There’s a history here, one we didn’t know about before. She’s been involved in some… unsavory connections.”

Elena’s heart skipped a beat. “What do you mean? What connections?”

“We’ve been reviewing her background,” Dr. Parker continued, “and we found links to a trafficking ring—multiple children had gone missing under circumstances eerily similar to Abigail’s. And Claire was somehow connected to it. She was part of something much bigger.”

Elena’s mind raced. “Abigail was—”

“Not just a victim,” Dr. Parker interrupted. “She was one of the targets. The operation went underground years ago, but Abigail’s name has surfaced again. We believe she’s been marked for something far darker than we imagined.”

Elena felt the weight of the revelation settle in her chest. The trauma, the sedative, the dog—everything had started to fit together like a broken puzzle. Abigail was more than just a child in need of rescue. She was part of something much larger.

Just then, a nurse entered the room, her face pale. “Elena, there’s something you need to see. It’s about the dog.”

Elena’s pulse quickened. “What’s wrong with Valorian?”

The nurse hesitated, her voice shaky. “He’s… he’s gone. We can’t find him. The door was open, but the hallway is empty.”

Elena’s heart dropped. The dog had been her silent protector. Without him, she felt vulnerable. She exchanged a worried glance with Dr. Parker.

“What do you mean ‘gone’?” Elena asked, struggling to stay calm.

“I don’t know. He wasn’t here when I checked,” the nurse replied, her voice tinged with fear. “But there’s something else. I think someone might have taken him.”

Elena turned toward Dr. Parker, her eyes wide. “Who would take him?”

The answer hung in the air like an unanswered question, and just as they turned to leave the room, a muffled sound echoed from down the hall.
